I was responsible for designing the full cycle of the onboarding feature, which would allow the user to pick their desired channel. I brainstormed ideas within the product team to envision how this could work and carried out research into other digital products for children to understand what would be the best form of design for this feature.
To produce a new childrens music digital product which would fit within the current MusicQubed framework and also meet the three different categories of children.
To begin with I aimed to gain a better understanding of the client and from that what would be the best suited cartoons to represent different age groups. This was done through research and mind maps.
The designs below show the final outcome of the onboarding journey which I created and the main bulk of the app which I helped facilitate to produce
The final stage was to design, prototype, review and test the product. The onboarding journey above was a vast part of the product as this would be where we gather the user’s age and cartoon preference, and from there we can push them the correct playlist. I did the designs through a number of different tools including Sketch, Photoshop, Principle and many more.
Once the user has picked the type of music they wish to listen to they are taken to their own version of the music channel. Below shows the designs for viewing and listening to music.
